Entry #5 (12/1/13)

Well, the semester is almost over... just two more weeks. I just finished doing a light review of the material since I won't have much time after today thanks to the 8 exams I have in the coming two weeks (6 before the COMP3010 exam). I think i'm fairly certain right now that this class along with intro. to advanced math were the classes I enjoyed the most this semester (intermediate and advanced physics lab being the one I hated the most haha).

Entry #4 (11/22/2013)

We (Cristian and me) finally managed to finish lab 7. In my opinion it was the hardest lab of them all. Even though it was hard I still enjoyed working on the problems because it helped me clarify some of the doubts I had about the material, specially how to create and use multidimensional dynamic arrays. I also believe that today's class was quite possibly the most doubt clarifying class of the whole semester. Pointers of pointer of pointers.... can be somewhat confusing...

Entry #3 (11/10/2013)

I'm a little frustrated about not picking up the pow error and forgetting about the tolower, islower, isalpha etc. etc. etc. functions and their library in the test. On the bright side, I won (along with my teammate) the programming competition (beginner category) at UPR-Ponce. UPR-Mayaguez also got third place in the beginner category and first and second place in the expert category.

During the last hour or two i have been working on my COJ score. I managed to solve three problems and improved my score past the 7 point mark. One problem has me puzzled though (Snow White). It's giving me the correct output and I can't find any errors in the code but the COJ judge says there is a mistake...

Entry #2 (10/27/2013)

COMP3010 has been really fun and interesting thus far. I think i have a pretty good understanding of the material discussed in class. I also find the caribbean online judge page to be lots of fun. Solving problems from there doesn't seem like actual work. It is enjoyable and fulfilling to look for and solve problems from that page. If it weren't  for all the suffering this ugly ugly ugly semester (other classes and circumstances) inflicts upon me i would definitely spend more time in that page.

This is my first blog entry. I am currently reviewing all the material studied thus far in the course in preparation for tomorrow's test. I have already finished all the quizzes and labs assigned and i'm eager to learn more about programming.
